Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician will perform various maintenance, monitoring and testing on all R.O. Water Systems, Boilers, and some plant equipment. This position will perform daily routines to maintain equipment and ensure our water systems are functioning properly. Job Duties: Perform various repairs, troubleshooting and modifications as needed on facility equipment including but not limited to boilers, water treatment systems, debris collection, etc. Perform rebuilds on RO water systems and test water on a daily basis. Monitor and maintain boilers which include testing water, treating water and reporting any issues found with a sense of urgency to your direct supervisor. Perform minor maintenance on boilers. Maintain and update required records for boiler operations. Work with equipment manufacturers and outside contractors in repairs and modifications of equipment. Communicate with operators, specialists and managers to determine and coordinate maintenance priorities. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions. Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager. Perform all other job duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical/vocational school training & experience working with boilers Minimum of 5 years' experience with demonstrated knowledge of industrial boiler operation & maintenance Excellent communicator and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
