Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: circa £35,000 plus companywide benefits

Position Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the logistics team at York as Transport Analyst. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with our people and brands across the whole of the business and play an important role in providing a great service!

A day in the life of Transport analyst

As a Transport Analyst you will be responsible to support the Delivery Management Team by initiating, driving and promoting sustainable, in depth and insightful analysis of the delivery operation. You will focus on creating reports and analysing transport data with the aim to improve our processes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Create and develop haulier review packs.

• Create and develop customer review packs and attend meetings.

• Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports for Head of Delivery.

• Weekly reporting to hauliers for weekly and year to date collection, delivery and delivery confirmation performances. This report to also include current fuel price, summary of delivery issues and new updates for haulage partners.

• Create and distribute average load size summaries.

• Analysis of transport data from Power Bi and internal systems to identify cost and Co2 saving initiatives.

What will make you successful

You will have an understanding of transport operations and ideally will have worked in a similar role. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across various functions.

This opportunity offers a chance to implement improvements and have a real impact on transport within the business. You’ll need to have a passion for data analysis and continuous improvement

You will:

• Have excellent excel skills

• Knowledge of Power BI is essential

• Data analysis experience

• Excellent organisational skills
