Qualifications:

• Master's in Education Required. SBL license preferred
• certified teacher (or certification from another state)
• Knowledge of NYS educational practices and standards is a plus
• 3-5 year teaching experience, experience in school administration, and/or school operations preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SIS program, and other related computer programs
• Experience coaching and evaluating teachers preferred
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction is a must.
• Ability to multitask and exhibit excellent time management and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong Islamic principles and morals; the ability to give short Islamic talks (boosting student morale), and be a Muslim role model in theory and action
• Must be physically able to circulate the school frequently (school has no elevator)

Duties:

- - Manage student enrollment, transportation, and lunch program. - Manage and oversee state testing, regents, PSAT, AP exams, etc. - Manage school textbook inventory. - Coach teachers on instructional delivery and classroom management. - Monitor instructional program by reviewing teacher lesson plans, observing classroom instruction on a regular basis. - Observe, evaluate, and document job performance, provide supervision, and conduct evaluation conferences with staff members. - Assist in creating a master class schedule; coordinate teacher coverages as needed. - Continuously analyze assessment data related to student academic performance and meet with students and parents as needed. - Monitor student achievement and growth, communicate with families, and develop student improvement plans.. - Monitor and interact with students and their families regarding academic and/or behavior issues. - Coordinate student activity programs, assessment schedules, school events, and other school activities as needed. - Support teachers and assist in dealing with student discipline matters according to the school behavior policy. - Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Principal. - Project a positive Islamic image; establish and maintain a work environment conducive to positive staff morale and Islamic principle
