Registered Nurse/Nurse Resident – 5thFloor Med Surg Unit – 36 Hours/Week – Midnight Shift

$15,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Eligible for full-time benefits

Shift: 7:00pm to 7:30am

GENERAL SUMMARY

Unit Overview:

The 5thFloor Med Surg Unit is a 44 bed capacity –preferred hospice unit The patient population is a combination of young adults through their lifespan. 16 beds can consists of tele patients. Our surgical patients are those that have undergone surgeries that require in- patient monitoring. We provide comfort for the End of Life patients while utilizing Palliative and Hospice Care as a resource.

· Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

· Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

· Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

· Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

· Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
