Job Description:

This role is for the Finance Leader of the Wroclaw, Poland site - a manufacturing facility within Collins Aerospace, a division of US-based company RTX. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of the site leadership team and will report directly to the Director of Finance for Collins Aerospace Global Operations. The primary job responsibilities include strategic short-term and long-term financial planning, risk management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including SOX 404, and financial reporting both in accordance with US GAAP as well as local statutory requirements in Poland. The role oversees the local WRO finance and accounting departments, supports the company's long-term growth objectives, and serves as a business partner to the site leadership team, including the General Manager of Poland Operations. This role also sits on the Board of Directors of the WRO site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Prepare and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure cost competitiveness to secure a pipeline of future business

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Accounting and Controls

  • Own the internal controls environment and ensure compliance with SOX 404

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and local Poland statutory reporting ( including taxes )

  • Oversee the annual standard cost roll and labor productivity reporting

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.

  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards covering the area of ​​the special economic zone

  • Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Oversee cash flow management, cost control, and capital expenditures.

  • Coordinate with other departments to support operational goals.

  • Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team of approximately 14 individuals, foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for finance staff.

  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Present financial results to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

  • Support investor relations and manage communication with shareholders.

  • Assist in fundraising activities and financial negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is required. Experience in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements for both US GAAP and local Poland statutory reporting as well as SOX 404.

  • Strong strategic thinking and financial planning skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Experience in SAP is required. SAP 4HANA, Oracle HFM, and OneStream are a plus.

  • Experience working in a standard costing environment.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across a global environment.
