About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Contracts Manager - Procurement Business Solutions, the Procurement Contracts Specialist is responsible for executing contracts administration and analysis activities across multiple global categories and/or bidding activities for assigned projects as defined by workflow or other operation’s needs.

This role will be an important enabler for contract and bidding execution and compliance.  As such, key learnings from executing those activities will lead to continuous improvement, workflow and platform changes, and other improvements to further enhance BD’s effectiveness in this space.

As Procurement Contracts Specialist you will:

  • Leverage the empowered contracting model to deliver contracting events for the Global Procurement organization and BD, more broadly

  • Run contract requests through Scout, Icertis or other technology as necessary

  • Understand ScoutRFP workflow processes follow through for applicable projects

  • Run bids and other contract requests through ScoutRFP or other tool as necessary (e.g. BuySmart, iCertis)

  • Contribute to the development of best practices for the Procurement Business Solutions (PBS) team

  • Promote the use of Procurement Business Solutions and develop practical solutions to extend the use of the PBS by partnering with stakeholders

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Minimum three years of related work experience 

  • Preferred - MBA, Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial

  • ​Purchasing process and quantitative and financial analysis knowledge

  • Solid purchasing fundamentals 

  • Strategic sourcing process participation 

  • Ability to flex across a wide range of assignments 

  • Ability to influence without direct authority 

  • Drive for results and problem-solving skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills
