Where You'll be Working The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #704308, located at: 62-16 34th Avenue, Woodside, NY 11377How You'll Perform the Role- Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams commercial paint store, servicing wholesale customers.- Assist in loading and unloading of all material set for delivery.- Assist in contacting customers/stores prior to deliver/pick-up.- Assist driver in adhering to safety procedures and traffic regulations.- Assist in retaining proper customer signature and delivery photo, via handheld device.- The Lumper works a varied schedule depending upon deliveries associated with customer orders. Typically, hours of work will begin at approximately 6:00 am and end at approximately 3:00 pm.- Days of work may vary depending upon business volume and customer demands.- Many hours may be spent riding in the passenger seat of a truck/van.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/CAPABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS.- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.- May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to hear up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.- Work surfaces may include concrete.- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as needed.- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.- Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.- Must be able to operate a hand pallet jack, hand truck or electronic pallet jack.Our Must Haves - These are our Basic Qualifications, hit apply if you meet all of them!- 18 years of age or older- Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future- Be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone, with or without reasonable accommodation- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation- Operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.) safely once trained, with or without reasonable accommodation- High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED)- 2 years of experience working in the Sherwin-Williams Delivery Service and/or management, transportation/logistics, customer supportExtras to Help you Stand Out - These are not required for you to be eligible to apply- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Valid driver's license- Ability to speak more than one language: preferably SpanishWhat is the Process to get Started?
