Duties: Design synthesizable VHDL and Verilog models for storage, interconnect and functional units suitable for use as components in a high-level synthesis application. Design C++ simulation models for functional units imported from HDL. Tune the constraints for synthesizable C++ models to achieve appropriate quality-of-results. Create new feature design specifications including architecture, implementation decisions and testing strategy based on marketing requirements. Create technical documentation for product features including application notes and design examples. Maintain regular progress tracking using an Agile process and JIRA software. Assist with debugging customer issues, including tool flow and quality-of-results problems.

Requirements : Employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. Position requires coursework or experience in the following: Programming in C++, utilizing object-oriented design and developing algorithms; Utilizing hardware description languages VH such as DL, Verilog, or SystemC; Utilizing digital logic circuits including combinational and sequential; Running RTL simulation using QuestaSim, ModelSim, NCSim, VCS-MX or other hardware event simulation tools; Utilizing concepts like pipelining and memory hierarchies; Creating technical specifications for hardware algorithms for digital designs including documentation and test plans; Working in a Linux environment using shell and scripting languages to automated tasks.
