System Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Program Engineer to join our team and spearhead the development of advanced Hypersonic Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire development lifecycle of cutting-edge hypersonic technologies, including development of system concepts, system architecture, system development, system test and system deployment. As the Lead Program Engineer, you will provide technical guidance, coordinate project activities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire development lifecycle of hypersonic technologies, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, driving innovation and maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Develop system architectures and conduct of Analysis of Alternatives

  • Perform oversight of technical planning including scheduling, financial planning, and tracking of program metrics

  • Lead and present key technical Design Reviews, IRAD Reviews, and Customer Reviews

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless integration.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address technical challenges and ensure project success.

  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, system requirements, and progress reports.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in hypersonic technologies, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

  • Support Business Line in Development of Strategic Plans and Technology Roadmaps

  • Develop Technical Volumes on Proposals

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering roles, with a focus on complex systems development.

  • Demonstrated success in developing strong technical customer relationships

  • Proven track record in leading the development of advanced technologies, preferably in the field of hypersonic systems.

  • Strong knowledge of system engineering principles, including system architecture, requirements management, and verification/validation processes.

  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary team of Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers fostering a culture of cooperation and innovation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to hypersonic systems development would be advantageous.
