Citigroup Credit Portfolio Officer in Wilmington, Delaware

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Portfolio Officer for its Wilmington, DE location.

Duties: Manage new account strategy development, account management strategy development and non-scoring models. Visualize and execute on an integrated approach for managing the customer base by studying the P&L dynamics of combining one or more of the credit strategy changes across Acquisitions and ECM actions. Analyze credit risk and provide credit recommendations and guidance to senior risk managers. Perform statistically driven underwriting and risk analyses using advanced analytical techniques to develop acquisitions underwriting strategies. Leverage external credit bureaus and internal Citi data to develop analytical solutions and perform statistical analyses and other advanced segmentation techniques to identify relationships and trends in data. Perform analytics on large datasets using SAS and Teradata and leverage decision tree analysis to perform risk and financial analyses. Develop customer-level P&L to optimize strategies. Identify trends and conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS and SQL to isolate key performance drivers. Develop and execute experimental test designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods to identify underserved segments within risk appetite framework while balancing business risk and return. Apply understanding of inherent credit risks for a range of banking products including lending, structured/acquisition finance, and capital markets transactions. Conduct internal and external oversight reviews and manage Operating Committee engagement. Coordinate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders: Independent Risk, Business Partners, Business Development Team, Partner Risk Management Teams. Produce credit and exposure analyses to ensure aggregate risk exposure to customers remains appropriate to credit standing. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policy.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and four (4) years of financial services industry experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Four (4) years must include: Creating management reporting using business intelligence tools to monitor acquisition and portfolio performance, key policy changes and derive relevant insights for the leadership team; Developing P&L forecasting models for the customer base and analyzing behavior to optimize credit strategies; Performing analytics on large datasets of customers’ credit information and On-us Credit performance data to provide credit recommendations and guidance to senior risk managers; and Conducting business analysis using P&L data, Competitors Analysis and Performance Monitoring. Three (3) years of experience must include: Developing and managing new account and account management credit underwriting strategies and credit policies; Supporting segmentation projects to reduce credit risk by identifying cohorts showing high credit losses on credit cards, working on all aspects of data analysis using SAS and SQL and building decision tree models, tuning the models to increase accuracy, and model validation; and Designing credit tests using statistical techniques including design of experiments (DOE) to identify credit underwriting opportunities and identify the best underwriting strategies by customer segments. 40 hrs./wk.
