Multi-Craft Mechanic

Position Description

Job Summary

The Multi-Craft person is primarily responsible for all duties currently held by both Mechanic and Electrician positions.

Work location: Williamsport, MD

Schedule: Day Shift

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow all safety requirements during the course of performing any mechanical or electrical work.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment throughout the facility.

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical system throughout the facility.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment throughout the facility.

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical system throughout the facility.

• Read and interpret PLC ladder logic in the course of troubleshooting plant equipment.

• Safe use of hand tools, small power tools and electrical test equipment such as a multi-meter and clamp-on ammeter.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications

Candidate must possess one of the following to meet the minimum requirements:

• Completion of a state approved electrical apprentice program

• U.S. Military education in the area of electrical and mechanical maintenance

• Completion in the area of electrical engineering or technology from an accredited college program

• A combination of education and proven work experience may be considered in lieu of the above

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

• At least two years related experience working in the area of mechanical and electrical maintenance
