Solid Ground currently runs eight programs in suburban Ramsey and Washington Counties and housing over 660 individuals annually. SCHEDULE This position is located in an office setting and works during normal business hours. This position also may include transporting clients using a personal vehicle. A Typical Day in the Life A typical day as Solid Ground s East Metro Place Housing Navigator provides an opportunity to support families during their transition out of our Transitional Housing Program and, depending on circumstances, families in our Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Additional responsibilities will include the following: Creating Housing Transition plans with families transitioning out of programs. Assisting participants with the move-out process, including housing search, landlord communication, resource navigation, and ensuring units are safe and affordable. Being available for weekly meetings with residents. Identifying and assisting with resolving barriers to housing access. Researching and contacting prospective housing options for availability and information and assisting participants with applying for housing. Identifying resources to cover moving expenses and to access household goods. Training and coaching on being a good tenant, lease compliance, and household management. Providing clients with guidance on all housing-related concerns, including landlord-tenant disputes and housing discrimination. Supporting participants in maintaining housing through prevention and early identification of behaviors that may jeopardize their continued housing. Assisting participants that have transitioned out of East Metro Place with resources for up to six months after moving out.
