Position Overview:We are seeking a licensed clinical counselor who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join our team as an independent contractor. The counselor will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling sessions to veterans during our retreats. They will also facilitate workshops and activities designed to promote healing and personal growth.
Job Type:Temporary, Part-time
Location: On-Site (location varies)
Anticipated Start Date: April 2024
Position Responsibilities:
Provide individual counseling sessions to veterans and spouses
Facilitate group counseling sessions
Lead workshops and activities
Collaborate with other counselors and staff
Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Create class content and deliver presentations in English and Spanish
Requirements
Position Requirements:
Master's degree in Counseling or related field
Licensed or certified counselor (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
Experience working with veterans or in a similar setting
Professional level fluency in English and Spanish
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:This is a part-time, independent contractor position. The schedule will vary depending on the retreats, which may occur on weekends or weekdays. The counselor must be available to travel to different locations for retreats.
Compensation:Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on experience and qualifications.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Prior military experience or military background preferred.
