Job Overview

The Vice President IT Internal Audit leads a team of IT auditors and subject matter experts, covering a broad spectrum of technology domains such as network security, cloud infrastructure, software development life cycle, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, vendor management, and disaster recovery. Internal Audit partners with every line of business, giving our group an insightful view into the U.S. mortgage industry and the enterprise’s strategic initiatives.

A Typical Day

  • Lead annual risk assessments across the technology landscape working with technology leadership, in preparation for the 3-year IT audit plan.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based IT audit strategy aligned with the company's mission and objectives.

  • Lead holistic integrated audits with business audit teams across the enterprise in areas such as mortgage fulfillment, capital markets, finance, servicing, risk, legal, and other enterprise shared services.

  • Direct the design and execution of audit procedures which leverage industry frameworks, technical system manuals, best practice configurations, data analytics, and automation.

  • Collaborate with management to drive timely and effective remediation of IT control deficiencies, safeguarding company assets and operations.

  • Prepare clear and insightful audit reports for the Board’s Audit Committee, executive management, and management committees.

  • Provide advisory engagements in maturing areas that will assist management in improving the control environment.

  • Continuously evaluate and refine audit policies, procedures, and methodologies, incorporating best practices, emerging technologies, and lessons learned to support the department’s mission outlined in our Audit Charter.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s culture and values

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field

  • 8 years of external audit, internal audit, or technology risk management; Big 4 preferred

  • Recognized system security and audit certifications are highly desired (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA, CPA, etc.)

  • Experience with audit, internal control, and financial institution examination methodologies (IIA, GTAG, ISACA, COBIT, FFIEC, etc.)

  • Experience with database querying for data analytic testing (Microsoft SQL, Snowflake)

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

$110,000 - $170,000
