Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding operations on structural steel components according to blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures.

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel components using various welding techniques, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.

• Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, torches, and plasma cutters, safely and efficiently.

• Inspect welded joints and structures for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards, making adjustments and repairs as needed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment.

• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

• Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

• Continuously improve welding techniques and skills through training, practice, and feedback.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
