Responsibilities

Their primary responsibility is to work with exposed steel components, ensuring they are covered with fabricated brake metal.

• The Brake Metal Technician visits construction sites where windows and doors are being installed.

• Measure the exposed steel sections that require covering.

• Installation involves securing the brake metal in place, ensuring a snug fit and proper coverage.

• The technician selects the appropriate gauge of brake metal based on the specific requirements.

• For exposed steel sections, they typically work with 0.060 and 0.090 gauge brake metal.

• Attention to detail is crucial to ensure a seamless finish.

• The Break Metal Technician inspects the fabricated pieces for accuracy and quality.

• They verify that the brake metal conforms to the measurements and specifications.

• Any adjustments or corrections are made promptly to maintain high standards.

• he technician coordinates installation schedules and ensures timely completion.

Qualifications:

• The role demands precise measurements and accurate fabrication.

• Familiarity with press brakes, metalworking tools, and CNC machinery.
