This exciting leadership role will oversee the global Social and Influencer Marketing division by driving innovation and strategic leadership to build brand awareness, audience engagement and revenue for Hourglass. This role will develop and manage the global social media strategy, global influencer marketing strategy, lead social-first creative storytelling to create high-impact content across platforms.

The ideal candidate will have luxury sector experience and have worked with brands across fashion, beauty, media or design with a strong connection to culture. Deep understanding of social media best-practice for modern luxury brands and experience with influencer marketing and paid social is a must. Candidate should have experience in a global 360-marketing organization with a focus on industry-leading social media and influencer activations.

This role reports to the CMO and works closely with the CEO, among other senior marketing team members. This position requires a proactive, strategic and creative leader with experience running a global social media or influencer marketing division. Strong vision, superior communication skills and the ability to manage varying levels of international stakeholders are essential.

WHAT YOU DO

Lead global social media strategy aligned to marketing objectives and business goals

Develop global influencer marketing strategy, including setting KPIs, global criteria, affiliate programs

Create strategic approach, content plan and success metrics for each priority social platform

Establish global guidelines and content strategy, providing central and local teams with clear strategic direction to produce premium and impactful social assets

Develop social go-to-market plans for global campaigns and product launches, working with executive team to develop social benchmarks and meet agreed KPIs

Spearhead collaboration with marketing channels to build content franchises and episodic programming for social platforms with a focus on community growth and engagement

Lead media planning for paid social, working with agencies and platforms to optimize spend

Oversee the development of platform-specific action plans, including playbooks, best practices, campaigns and evergreen storytelling for existing and emerging channels

Drive the creative briefing process with strategic and cultural insights, working with the CD and creative team to create best-in-class content for social

Create a consistent approach for sharing, educating and inspiring global social teams, and the broader organization, with social media trends, new technologies and creative examples

Develop strategy, creative thematic and best practices for influencer content for owned and paid social channels

Spearhead relationships with new/emerging platforms to ensure knowledge of and access to new tools and beta tests

Ensure Hourglass brand identity and social tone of voice is represented consistently across all social media touchpoints

Motivate, inspire and manage a high-performing social team to develop and successfully execute content plans, meeting deadlines and delivering results across all key social platforms

Ensure content strategies are globally scalable and oversee localization strategies for regional platforms, including Line, WeChat and Weibo

Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of the content across channels and make recommendations to optimize performance in real time

QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of professional marketing experience at a luxury brand with a focus on social media

Minimum of 6 years management experience

A track record of driving buzzworthy, high-impact social media and influencer campaigns, delivering creative excellence and meeting business objectives

Ability to articulate a vision and strategy that inspires and motivates the team to deliver on goals

Digital native, with strong ability to create brand continuity across priority platforms, including IG, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and regional social platforms

Exceptional understanding of the creative process and an ability to effectively lead briefings, collaborate and manage creative teams to deliver on project goals

Deep analytical experience and ability to evaluate social metrics and apply a data-centric approach to testing and optimizing content

Experience building influencer marketing strategies that drive measurable awareness and sales

Excellent presenter and effective communicator with the ability to lead a team and influence key stakeholders

Extremely high standards, detail-oriented, natural problem solver that thrives in an exciting, fast-paced environment

Ability to proactively plan and manage program timelines, budgets, and expenses

Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time

The expected base salary range for this position is $175,000 – $190,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.

This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
