Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates and maintains applicable program/project schedules and agendas, which may include tracking deadlines, deliverables, and communication with management and/or stakeholders.

  • Interfaces with other departments, staff, leaders, and/or other partners in the administration of the program/project. Provide coordination of applicable logistics or information as directed by leadership.

  • Helps foster a collaborative and positive relationship-building dynamic with internal staff and external parties. May be responsible for providing any applicable education, training, onboarding, and/or mentorship pertaining to the program/project.

  • Responsible for creating reports for management in the evaluation of the program/project performance or day-to-day operations. May also be responsible for documenting and tracking program/project compliance.

  • May provide feedback to management and make recommendations regarding program/project operations and/or procedures.

  • Provides administrative support to the Director of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program. Administrative responsibilities include scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, and other responsibilities as assigned by the director.

  • Strong computer literacy comprises a working knowledge of Windows or comparable operating systems. Must additionally possess working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation development, e-mail, browsers, and online reporting

  • Ability to handle multiple demands and/or manage complex and competing priorities.

  • Ability to work with tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.

  • Ability to demonstrate time management and priority-setting skills.

  • Ability to identify problems and resourcefulness to resolve them independently and on own initiative.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent organization skills and very detail-oriented; learns new tasks quickly; self-motivated; work well independently with minimal supervision; works well with others; able to multi-task.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other medical center customers.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Licenses: N/A

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of Progressively responsible administrative or strategic support experience

Prefer 3 years of organizational Program or Project coordination/support experience, utilizing program/project management and development procedures.
