What to expect as a MDS Coordinator at Saint Mary Home

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Designee, the MDS Nurse will conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment in accordance with the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.

  2. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state

  3. Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.

  4. Must possess and maintain current CPR Certification.

  5. Must be AANAC Certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

  6. Must have prior MDS experience
