Wells Fargo Credit Bureau Management Technology Lead Software Engineer in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Consumer Technology.

The Credit Bureau Management Technology Lead Software Engineer -role will be responsible for supporting, driving and accelerating Application Modernization, Transformation, Strategy & Roadmap across the Consumer Lending - Deposit and Credit Bureau Management Operations Platform reporting to the Credit Bureau Management Technology Leader.

This Lead Software Engineer will be leading the development efforts within the Credit Bureau Management Technology team for standing up solutions in the modern architecture. The role requires strong experience in building enterprise solutions using multiple and diverse tools, languages, and products in the modern architecture pattern with microservice/event driven methodology. The resource will provide SRE and Cloud-ready adoption practices while enforcing the use of EPL tools and automation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

  • Responsible to work closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery of Product roadmap.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in recommending newer technology practices and upgrading systems as required by market and organization frameworks.

  • Engage with Architecture and product teams to deliver frequent releases

  • Drive Micro Services Architecture patterns implementation.

  • Experience with API Life Cycle Management

  • Define API strategy and execution including service virtualization

  • Experience on security aspects such as authorization, authentication, certificates, encryption (MTLS and OAuth)

  • Experience with Event driven architecture patterns and experience in Apache kafka tool.

  • Experience with Restful services, Middleware, etc

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of Full Stack Java experience

  • Experience with CICD

  • Exposure to TDD/BDD/DDD

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of PCF, Azure, AWS, GCP or similar cloud experience

  • Experience working with Angular

  • Oracle, Mongo, SQL Server Database

  • Experience with Pega Workflow

  • Hybrid cloud experience

  • CICD toolkit

  • Java

  • React

  • SRE

  • Python
