Academic & Enterprise Systems (AES), part of the Office of the Registrar, facilitates student success systems across campus, including the University Student Information System, Document Management Systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Student Success Platforms. In close coordination with the campus community, AES identifies and develops functionality within these systems to support student and academic success. Additionally, AES develops and maintains data integration between systems and is responsible for the accuracy of student data on campus.

Reporting directly to the Associate Director for Solutions Development, the incumbent is primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining information systems and/or related interfaces to the Banner SIS, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system, OnBase Document Management Systems, CRMS, and other enterprise applications to meet the business needs of the university.

The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of business software concepts, protocols, and standards; strong creative problem-solving skills and analytical competence(s); leverage their experience, expertise, and established industry knowledge to the University's process; demonstrate attention to the determinants & priorities of information access while balancing business and operational needs. The individual can effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the development and technical functionality of the university's academic & enterprise applications, including Ellucian Banner
  • Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain data integrations between Banner and 3rd-party applications
  • Coordinate and apply upgrades/patches to information systems
  • Work with functional users to plan, coordinate, and conduct system and application testing
  • Monitor operational performance and troubleshoot system problems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of implementation decisions, workflows, and configurations
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop or enhance current business processes to leverage information systems for increased functionality
  • Develop technical specifications for systems or interfaces and coordinate with Enterprise Applications team on programming-based needs and modifications.
  • Create end-user training guides
  • Ensure compliance with federal & institutional policies and guidelines f the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems programming and Banner application development using Ellucian Experience, Ellucian Banner, Ethos API, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, and Degree Works

Special Instructions

Salary ranges between $86,000 and $95,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
