Code Enforcement Officer- Jay Township
Job Description:
- Respond to complaints filed with the Board of Supervisors
- Conduct basic property maintenance, inspection of residential and commercial properties in Jay Township pursuant to adopted ordinance with in the township
- Investigate alleged violations
- Determine if violations occurred
- Notify the property owner of violation, how to remedy the violation, time line for the remediation, and possible fines, liens, or sanctions for non-compliance
- Maintain complete and accurate records, logs, and files of inspection activities, complete reports of activities
- Possibility to appear in court to testify on behalf of the township
- give township secretary copy of all paperwork sent
This is a part-time position as needed. The township is willing to train the right candidate. Pay commensurate with experience.
