Generac Power Systems Project Coordinator - Supply Chain Planning in Waukesha, Wisconsin

The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading, developing and implementing the lifecycle inventory coordination strategy across North America, as well as monitoring inventories across distribution facilities to optimize product lifecycle management. With a keen focus on continuous improvement, customer experience, and financial control this individual is also expected to report lifecycle coordination performance metrics. This role is expected to leverage our business technologies to realize best-in-class system performance and partner with order fulfillment and sales organizations to develop inventory management solutions. It ensures an adequate supply of products to meet customer service needs while minimizing working inventory investment. It also maintains the settings in the inventory planning systems to ensure accurate inventory forecasts and planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute Product Lifecycle planning from Pilot to End of Life (EoL) and transition planning to ensure continuity of Supply.

  • Coordinate a cross functional team (NPI, SIOP,EOL Planning and Service), driving adherence to the end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, ensuring accountability for actions and master data alignment

  • Establish a clear methodology and structure to support Long- range planning and align a proper governance structure within Supply Chain current business while ensuring new process design is under way to support simplification and consolidation

  • Communicate and progress agreed actions with key stakeholders including the weekly obsolescence review, developing and maintaining a PLM dashboard and integrating business rules for minimum volumes

  • Manage the obsolescence & end of life processes in line with agreed projects & SLAs

  • Analyze finished goods & raw material obsolescence, ensuring cost is minimized and correctly allocated

  • Identify improvements to streamline the PLM processes, to reduce turnaround times improve scenario planning to reduce obsolescence

  • Produce timely and accurate monthly reports on all products, identifying trends and supporting SIOP team improvement initiatives

  • Drive the continuous clean-up of master data and reduction of the SKU portfolio in line with PLM analysis

  • Participate and contribute to team performance by engaging in team meetings and taking an active part in problem solving activities

  • Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues and apply learnings from identified training and development activities required to perform in role

  • Follow and comply with all Supply Chain processes, standards, and guidelines in the performance of your role, reporting any non-conformances in a timely manner

  • Provide recommendations on inventory moves in partnership with quality.

  • Provide recommendations on performance opportunities.

  • Responsible for working with distribution managers to ensure root cause and corrective actions are taken to ensure plants are driving down metrics

  • Create BI reports and Power BI dashboards for analysis

  • Assist with ad-hoc activity from Global Distribution and OTC leadership

  • Develop an inventory program to minimize excess material at end of the life cycle.

  • Develop a process identifying excess material in the distribution network and ensure corrective actions are put in place to minimize excess material

  • Collaborate with corporate demand planners and business units’ cross-functional teams and product management to develop and improve strategies and processes that drive on time delivery and working capital optimization.

  • Provide recommendations on inventory strategies that will support upside revenue opportunities and fluctuations in finished goods sales.

  • Collaborate with supplier packaging engineer(s), planners, sourcing, and transportation professionals to design order quantities, order frequency, container utilization, and optimal stocking points/strategies.

  • Review site root cause and counter measure, and provide high level insight and recommendations regarding changes to enhance inventory performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, OR equivalent experience

  • 1 year of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, product development OR equivalent experience

  • 1 years of experience coordinating cross-functional/ cross-team projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, OR equivalent experience

  • 3 years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, product development OR equivalent experience

  • 2 years of experience coordinating cross-functional/ cross-team projects

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediary knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes including areas such as Order Fulfillment, Inventory Segmentation and Management, and Logistics Management

  • Information management experience including analysis of data

  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals, teams and management

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution experience

  • Experience using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) with intermediate level skills in Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Desire to seek out improvement opportunities from both a process and system standpoint

  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
