Job Summary

The Senior Events Staffing Manager fully responsible for hiring and securing all staffing needs for any off-site events 30 days out (in advance) .

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall scheduling of all events staffing needs (servers, captains, Bartenders & maintenance)

  • Labor costs and staffing ratio vs Guest counts

  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Director of Protocol, General Manager, and Vice President.

  • Implement & maintain the set SOPs for scheduling staff and daily operations of the Department.

  • Serve as the only point of contact between the Protocol department and Sales team ensuring accurate staffing level attained according to the set budget for each event.

  • Train and develop on a timely basis the scheduling coordinators to schedule one week out at a minimum all events are handed over by the Director of Protocol.

  • Solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

  • Motivate and discipline staff after consulting "where applicable "with the Director of Protocol.

  • Support department-level human resources responsibilities including record keeping, compliance, training, hiring, and firing, and conflict resolution, event staffing, onsite training, VIP. Requirements, security & badging

  • Support and oversee the recruiting and onboarding efforts. Use a data-driven approach to achieve hiring goals.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of captains, Servers, Bartenders, Maintenance, and Maintenance Leads to ensure team members can provide the highest level of hospitality.

  • Visit event sites as directed by the Director of protocol for quality control and standards assessments such as monthly audits and secret shopper’s program.

  • Database maintenance and deep-rooted knowledge of the inner workings tasks of CaterXpert is a must.

  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to utilize multiple programs and platforms such as CaterXpert, Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of personnel.

  • Strategic & Operations Planning and Project Management.

  • Conflict Identification, Team Management, and Staff Performance Assessment.

  • Quality Assurance focus.

  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.

  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)

Travel

50 % to venue sites in the DMV area or any other venue

Required Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree and three years (5) years minimum of related experience preferably in operations, finance, hospitality, or food service industry, off-premises catering, or event planning experience are a plus.
