Mina Group Restaurant Sales and Events Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales and Events Manager to join our team at Rooftop Kitchen at City Ridge. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing private events, and elevating the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses to drive group dining and private event sales.

  • Event Coordination:

  • Coordinate and execute private events, including corporate gatherings, weddings, and special celebrations.

  • Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.

  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

  • Provide personalized service and recommendations to enhance the overall guest experience.

  • Menu Customization:

  • Work closely with the culinary team to customize menus for private events, ensuring a tailored and exceptional dining experience for guests.

  • Contract Negotiation:

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions meet both client and Bourbon Steak standards.

  • Marketing Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to drive private event bookings.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and event metrics, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

  • Restaurant Management 

  • ​​​​​​​Experience with various industry specific software; Micros, Toast, open Table, Seven Rooms, Avero and others

  • Adept at team building across both back and front of house

  • Advanced knowledge of Food and Wine.

  • Desire to teach and mentor both your staff and interns

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales and events management, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.

  • Strong understanding of the DC market and its dynamics.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurants with sales and events management focus.

Salary: $60,000-70,000 base salary plus commission based on Event Sales
