Serco Project Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position Description

If you are looking to move to your next level in acquisition and program management, the Project Analyst role will steer you in the right direction! This position will be on a dynamic team supporting Team Submarine in Washington, DC. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our Sailors.

Serco will provide acquisition and program management support in the area of deep submergence systems to the customer, a defense acquisition program management office which is responsible for the technical development, acquisition modernization, and sustainment of critical Navy systems. This role will specifically support Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the Undersea Special Mission Systems program office.

In this role you will:

  • Provide overall program management oversight to manage all tasks across all areas of technical performance, schedule, quality, and cost, prepare and track spend plans, etc.

  • Develop technical documentation and briefs for and on behalf of NAVSEA customers.

  • Generate Acquisition documentation for Milestone Reviews.

  • Provide assessments on relevant cost, schedule, and risk factors.

  • Coordinate and interface with NAVSEA customer, industry and government partners, and other project stakeholders.

  • The ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Customer-oriented and a team player.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current or active DoD Secret clearance.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM area.

  • Microsoft Office skills, to include Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Two to four years of experience with DoD or Navy acquisition experience.

  • The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Recent experience in Team Submarine.

  • Experience with Deep Submergence Systems (DSS).

  • DAU Program Management Level II or III.

  • Work experience in the Navy and specifically within Team Submarine or on-board submarines.
