Serco Jr. International Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position Description

If you love high profile and challenging projects, Serco has a fantastic opportunity for you! As a Junior International Analyst, you will be on a dynamic team supporting the Navy with international cooperation in areas of FMS, AUKUS, and other types of international initiatives and efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the team with administrative tasks, such as correspondence management, weekly reports, office management, action tracking, and other responsibilities.

  • Provide program management support including supporting high-level meetings and programs with minute-taking, logistics coordination, day-of execution, action tracking, records management, and process improvement.

  • Assist in country portfolios, including product peer review, escorting foreign delegations, surge support for large meetings and trips, and back-fill portfolios during scheduling conflicts.

  • Plan and execute meetings and events between senior U.S. officials and their international counterparts. Support includes coordinating logistics (e.g., requesting access to military installations, coordinating clearances and foreign visit requests, foreign visitor access to the Pentagon, etc.) for meeting delegate(s); preparing agendas; drafting read-ahead information (e.g., background briefings, issue papers, decisions papers, etc.); and drafting comprehensive meeting minutes and reports.

  • Function as an action officer for an assigned area of responsibility, provide support consulting with the appropriate counterparts.

  • Maintain situational awareness of international cooperative activities in assigned areas of responsibility and consulting with technical subject matter experts.

  • Coordinate foreign disclosure approvals for work products, assisting government representatives in requesting foreign disclosure one-time authorizations to exchange information on led initiatives and providing recommendations on appropriate mechanisms to support information exchange.

  • Conduct data extraction and analysis from the International Agreements in response to inquiries regarding specific country activities or on technical topics.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current or active DoD Secret level clearance which is required to be considered.

  • A Bachelor's degree in International Relations, communications, political science, or related study.

  • The position is entry-level with a zero to two-year requirement. However, preferably the incumbent will have some experience supporting a government office or official (the government is willing to consider a candidate that has less years of experience with a higher degree level).

  • The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience coordinating logistics (e.g., requesting access to military installations, coordinating clearances and foreign visit requests, parking for visiting personnel, etc.) for meeting delegate(s); preparing agendas; drafting read ahead information (e.g., background briefings, issue papers, decisions papers, etc.); and draft comprehensive meeting minutes or reports, is highly preferred.

  • Experience planning and executing meetings or events is highly preferred.

  • Experience acting as liaison at a high-level for multiple offices is highly preferred.

  • Experience working ininternational armament cooperation is preferred.

  • A baseline understanding of the different authorities available for international cooperation to identify the appropriate mechanism to support the efforts is preferred.
