SAIC IMAC Specialist in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Tier 2 IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) technician to join our team in Washington D.C. The selected candidate will work alongside fellow IMAC Technicians to assist with the delivery, installation, moves and changes of end user IT equipment to include desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other IT supported peripherals.

Job Responsibilities:

· Image/re-image laptop and desktops

· Provision laptops and desktops for customer use

· Setup workstations and hardware peripherals at specified locations

· Reclaim hardware designated as returned or surplus from specified locations

· Troubleshoot and diagnose IT hardware related problems

· Identify, isolate, diagnose, and analyze problems by utilizing ServiceNOW

· Field vendor service calls for service and warranty repairs of equipment

· Maintain the integrity and accuracy of IT inventory

· Assist with organizing vendor pick-up of hardware designated for electronic disposal

· Alert IMAC Lead to recurring problems and patterns of hardware problems

· Work in different applications and services to complete onboard and offboard tasks

· Take full ownership of assigned service requests from open to close

· Perform daily updates of assigned service request with detailed notes

· Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the IMAC Center

· Work with other Core IT Teams to ensure timely end user hardware deployment

Qualifications

Qualifications (required):

· Must be eligible to receive a Public Trust clearance which an interim clearance obtained prior to start.

· AA Degree in related discipline and two (2) years related experience or High School diploma or GED and four (4) years related experience

· Experience with imaging enterprise client computers

· 2+ years hands-on IT experience in hardware and software

· A fundamental understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to collaborate and share information utilizing Microsoft Office applications

· Experience with managing and maintaining inventory

Qualifications (desired):

· Experience with BitLocker

· Deployment of software and applications using SCCM

· Worked within Active Directory to modify existing accounts and objects

· Knowledge (break/fix) of Dell client computers and monitors

· Managing service request using ServiceNOW

· Onboarding/Offboarding general processes and tasks and procedures

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
