Aston Carter Content Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Our client is looking for a remote Content Specialist to join their team. This is a year long contract and will pay based on years of experience. Qualified candidates will have an interview scheduled within 48 hours of resume submission.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of content development experience required.

  • Must have strong writing skills and be able to provide writing sample.

  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate on scientific, educational, and policy topics.

  • Fluency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn other programs and software.

  • Experience with website updates and maintenance strongly preferred.

  • Commitment to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Ability to improve processes with experience.

  • Detail-oriented and collaborative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently researches, drafts, builds, and/or finalizes internal and external written materials.

  • Contributes to the action plan’s overall communications strategy and implements a process for website maintenance.

  • Applies understanding of business/organizational operations to improve materials and relevance to key audiences.

  • Takes action to address issues that routinely arise in areas of assigned responsibility but may receive guidance or expertise from higher-level staff on more complex problems.

  • Aligns communications and promotional activities with business goals.

  • Relays processes, strategies and outcomes with manager and strategy team.

  • Studies audience demographics and builds that knowledge and insight into planning and strategy activities.
