Description

Boston Government Services is seeking a Communications Management Analyst to support the Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program working closely with a variety of teams to provide programmatic operational and administrative support in Washington, DC.

The programmatic support is for federal agencies to implement energy, water, and sustainability goals and requirements using third-party financing vehicles to execute their projects. This role supports a wide range of written and visual communications deliverables such as program web presence, PowerPoint presentations, agenda development activities, information gathering, training, and meeting event planning, coordination, and implementation including content input, document proofreading and editing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of project support in an assigned area within the DOE FEMP program office, e.g., webinars, meetings, information coordination, etc.

  • Coordinate team calls, team reporting, and agency and vendor calls and correspondents.

  • Provide meeting and training management support.

  • Organize and attend meetings, handle scheduling, technical logistics to ensure smooth meeting audio and visual communication among remote and in-person participants, provide agenda input, coordinate speakers, draft writeups related to the event, and document all meetings for post actions to take.

  • Proofread material and provide quality assurance editing to presentations and other documents as needed.

  • Support the DOE FEMP training teams to increase the quality of the training materials developed.

  • Conduct training on third-party financing mechanisms energy and sustainability programs.

  • Recommend current and future information needs and provide input into the development and implementation as requested to support the program.

  • Support time critical responses to data requests.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, business, marketing, or environmental sciences,

  • Between 3-5 years of experience in similar tasks

  • Must be US citizen.

  • Successful drug screening.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in energy efficiency or environmental sciences is an advantage as is familiarity of policy and financing but not required.

  • Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Make good use of visuals and diagrams.

  • Able to research and gather information.

  • Able to work in a team environment, typically consisting of seasoned performance contracting users and mid- to senior-level engineers.

  • Provide value through critical thinking, e.g., reasoned and clear judgment.

  • Be detail oriented to edit and proofread own and others’ content.

  • Possess personal qualities such as dependability, good verbal and written communication skills.

    Starting compensation for this role typicallysalary ranges between $70,000 and $90,000 annuallyand is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
