Position Description

This position will be on a dynamic team supporting Team Submarine in Washington, DC. Serco will provide acquisition and program management support in the area of deep submergence systems to the customer, a defense acquisition program management office, which is responsible for the technical development, acquisition modernization, and sustainment of critical Navy systems. This role will specifically support Special Operations Forces (SOF) in the Undersea Special Mission Systems Program Office.

In this role you will:

• Provide advice and recommendations for options, strategies, and risks to assist the Program Office with preparation of Acquisition Plans (APs), Acquisition Strategies (ASs) and other acquisition planning documents for Government final approval.

• Provide assessments on relevant cost, schedule, and risk factors.

• Coordinate and interface with NAVSEA customer, industry and government partners, and other project stakeholders.

• You must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

• Customer-oriented and a team player.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship for consideration.

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM area.

• Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Have five to seven years of experience in DoD or Navy acquisition.

• Have the ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Recent experience in Team Submarine.

• Experience with Deep Submergence Systems (DSS).

• DAU Program Management Level II or III

• Experience in the Navy and specifically within Team Submarine or on-board submarines.
