AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Within the AWS Premium Support and Managed Service product division, the team engages with leading organizations, emphasizing the crucial role of top-tier support in customer migration, modernization, and sustained operations. Collaborating closely with a global clientele building mission-critical applications on AWS services, the team co-builds tailored solutions, distinct from off-the-shelf offerings. We seek an smart, dynamic, and innovative thought leader proficient in outbound product management to conceive, develop, and implement scalable Support solutions facilitating customers throughout their cloud journey, enriching their experience. The ideal candidate exhibits passion for the expansive opportunities within the cloud (AWS) domain, boasting a track record of achievements in delivering IT products and services. Demonstrating robust leadership skills, the candidate excels in opportunity prioritization, clear communication (both written and verbal), and fostering a culture of excellence within a skilled, opinionated team. In this capacity, you will spearhead the Support go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our premier services tailored to our largest and most pivotal customers. We seek a principal outbound product leader capable of engaging directly with C-Level executives of Fortune-500 companies, comprehending their needs, and proposing bespoke solutions and commercial arrangements. Collaborating cross-functionally with product management, product marketing, sales, and delivery, you will pioneer innovative operational frameworks tailored for some of the globe's most prominent enterprises.

Key job responsibilities

• GTM Mechanisms: Forge a GTM strategy and rhythm in conjunction with Sales, Technical Account Management, and Business Development units to proactively identify opportunities for enhanced support services within our latest clientele.

• Product Management: Interface with customer executives and client delivery teams to conceptualize an enhanced support experience, subsequently orchestrating the development and implementation of a support solution to fulfill those objectives. The candidate will maintain direct oversight of the executive relationship with the customer throughout this process.

• Execution Oversight: Lead the execution of the solution by collaborating with diverse teams to ensure its seamless adoption, delivery, and alignment with customer requirements.

• Influence on Product Roadmap: Offer direct insights to Product Management regarding new features essential for augmenting the support experience for these clientele segments.

• Thought Leadership: Develop collateral materials, white papers, and actively participate in key industry forums to establish prominence as an industry authority within the Support and Managed Services domain.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
