The Opportunity

For Abbott Structural Heart Division we are looking for an experienced Sales & Therapy Specialist to join our great team in Poland. The position will be dedicated to our MitraClip and TriClip therapies. This will be a field-based role, with preferential residence of: Poznań or Bydgoszcz area.

Therapy Specialist will be responsible for treatment development, training and providing clinical support for MitraClip and TriClip cases at existing and new Accounts within the region and create a referral patient flow.

The Therapy Specialist coordinates MitraClip and TriClip promotion in the assigned territory to ensure adequate stock and align on market activities. The role is also responsible for initiating new accounts and expand utilization in existing ones, as well as achieving the therapies financial objectives.

What You'll do:

Proctoring

  • Be proctor certified according to the SH training process

  • Provide technical support to clinicians during MitraClip/TriClip procedures

  • Demonstrate procedural steps for all involved physicians and staff at sites

  • Implement field-based physician and staff training programs

Site Management:

  • Collaborate with centers to provide good clinical outcome for the patients

  • Facilitate communication among the diverse constituents (Interventionalists, Echocardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologist, cath lab management etc.) in order to effective patients flow for treatment, procedure scheduling and successful clinical outcome

  • Manage logistic between the site and SH related to procedural support

  • Regular product handling and inventory management

Patient recruitment/referral:

  • Keep medical team informed about patient selection criteria

  • Support echocardiologist during the patients screening

  • Create therapy awareness and interest with the decision maker(s) by explaining the MitraClip and TriClip technologies, the patient target group, the latest clinical data and the therapy benefits to the patient

  • Organize outreach events for referring physicians, utilize all marketing and clinical material and data to reach out to the maximum audience

Others:

  • Achieve top and bottom line financial objectives in the region

  • Build relationship with key opinion leaders

  • Ensure compliance in all activities and take responsibility for accurate and timely submission of all documents

  • Communicate and share info on regular bases with the SH management team responsible for the region

  • Report on regular basis to Division Manager the outcomes on the activities at the referral and new accounts

  • Develop database of contacts and activities at the referral accounts

Required skills and background:

  • University degree in Life Sciences or related medical field

  • Minimum 3 years of Medical Clinical Support/Sales Experience

  • Background in invasive cardiology or cardiac surgery strongly preferred

  • Hospital Account management

  • Strong sales skills

  • Strong clinical orientation and knowledge of the cardiology medical devices and market access issues

  • Knowledge of various cardiology treatments to understand patient flow within the hospital

  • Strong relationship & network builder within a multi-specialty cardiology team at the hospital

  • Ability to cooperate with a variety of clinicians’ personality types

  • Strong analytical skills: able to identify and understand a cardiology hospital environment

  • Unsurpassed communication and interpersonal skills: to build relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Understanding of the organizational processes, procedures and compliance within a corporate environment

  • Ability to manage projects and achieve alignment on common goals

  • Willingness to travel intensively

  • Very good command of English and Polish (both written and spoken)
