Citigroup Product Control Lead Analyst in Warsaw, Poland

The Markets Controllers Lead Analyst is a senior-level role within the Markets Treasury Business segment, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank's financial records. This position involves collaborating with the Finance team to support data integrity, general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution, valuation control, and comprehensive reporting on product profit and loss and balance sheets.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and oversee control activities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with company policies.

  • Manage the scope of work within the Markets Treasury Controllers team and participate in process migrations as needed.

  • Hire, retain, and coach team members, ensuring the development of talent.

  • Represent the team in local and regional management meetings to ensure smooth communication and information flow.

  • Highlight and address issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Focus on recurring issues and drive enhancement projects and system improvements.

  • Support standardization efforts and work on strategic and ad-hoc projects to enhance system infrastructure and processes.

  • Implement process improvement ideas to streamline operations and increase efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in accounting and finance.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for supervisory or management roles in a controllers capacity.

  • Experience in corporate treasury or treasury controllers functions is an advantage.

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to understand and address challenges effectively.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to comprehend complex issues and engage strategically.

  • Strong organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking and providing practical, solutions-driven approaches.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a Master’s degree or professional qualification is an advantage
