Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Waller, Texas, in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including maintaining and reconciling accounts, handling vendor statements, and utilizing SAP and Excel for various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Maintain a thorough record of all company transactions and financial activities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks to streamline processes

• Use Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Assist with the month-end close processes and journal entries

• Work on General Ledger tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial statements

• Participate in the cleanup project, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date

• Coordinate with other team members to replace an employee on the team

• Perform other tasks as required to support the accounting department. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in SAP software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
