Absco Solutions is the premier facility vulnerability expert in fire life-safety and security technology fields, with established offices in Washington (Everett, Fife, Spokane) and Oregon (Wilsonville). We specialize in access control, intrusion, video surveillance, and fire alarms. We're seeking a growth-minded experienced licensed Low Voltage (Journey EL06) Electrician to join our exceptional team.
Position Requirements:
[Current] Washington State Journey Electrical License (EL06) Card (required)
[Current] NICET Fire Alarm Level II or higher (required)
Seattle FA-1 card
Possess and maintain an Enhanced WA State Driver’s License
Clear driving record, to be covered under company auto insurance
Ability to pass a background check
At least 5-10 years experience troubleshooting, confidence testing, programming, and installation of fire alarm systems
AT least 5 years of experience troubleshooting, installing, and programming of commercial IP-based surveillance, intrusion alarm, and access control limited energy circuits and systems
Working Knowledge of Network Cabling, Fiber Optic Cabling, and termination, ERRC Distributed Antenna Systems, Cellular and radio communicators, etc.
Must be process and detail-oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
Education: High School graduation or equivalent
Responsibilities:
Perform required scheduled & reoccurring testing, inspection and maintenance related to all fire protection systems in accordance with manufacture and jurisdictional requirements and recommendations.
Ensures compliance with all cities, state and federal regulations as applicable to service, installation, and maintenance of all systems including OSHA safety standards.
Perform on-site routine and emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs, in addition to the installation, inspection, testing and servicing of low voltage life safety product lines and fire alarm systems
Perform site surveys as necessary for fire and life safety low voltage systems
Maintain an understanding of product capabilities, warranties, and usages to educate and serve customers.
Maintain positive customer relationships, and ensure shared awareness with the Low Voltage team for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns
Identify opportunities for additional equipment and services that customers may need
Discuss deficiencies noted with customer, explaining the problem and its resolution
Checking in and out with the onsite point of contact for all jobs; ensuring customer is satisfied with work completed prior to leaving the job site.
Monitor and maintain proper working order of company tools, equipment and uniform per policy.
Always maintains a professional appearance and represents Absco in a professional manner
Constructively manage (or relay to your supervisor for the handling of) all customer complaints related to your department
Honors all schedules and commitments
Responsible for notifying direct supervisor of any equipment issues or any unsafe working conditions.
Responsible for recording time in the company provided time and attendance software.
Responsible for timely submission of detailed daily job reports and complete inspection reports

Has advanced technical skills and experience with fire alarm systems, as well as experience with surveillance, access control, and intrusion
Has programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, multi-Meter, etc.) and ability to read blueprints and drawings
Math skills including calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.
Ensures quality of all work performed by themselves or their team
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Advanced computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and proficient in other relevant applications.

Working Conditions:
Expected working hours and conditions are as follows:
7:30am to 4:00pm Monday thru Friday
Willing to be on the on-call rotation for after hour emergencies
Work Location: primarily Seattle and North, but may also require driving as far south as Chehalis periodically
Physical Requirements:
Able to perform tasks including, but not limited to:
Lifting 50-75lbs
Walking up and down flights of stairs
Prolonged standing
Climbing ladders
Maneuvering through tight spaces if necessary
Salary and Benefits:
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $45-$55 per hour depending on experience and certifications
