Job Summary
The Program Specialist I, under general supervision, performs entry-level specialist duties for a department, college, or division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services.
Plans and develops specialized programs such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, and workshops to facilitate program goals.
Coordinates specialized program communications and marketing materials.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of budgets, special reports, and other documents.
Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programs.

Additional Responsibilities
Assist in conducting literature review, data analysis and writing manuscript for dissimulation.
Assist with recruitment and retention of grant participants.
Develop training schedule and assist in the training and scheduling of grant participants.
Track grant participants progress in their training.
Provide participants case review and continuing education training.
Provide certification and guidelines training.
Track trainees’ completion of Basic and Advanced training.
Participate in discussing best practices at meetings.
Prepares vouchers, purchase orders and requisitions.
Coordinate with accounting personnel and other support staff.
Data entry and coding.
Update SANE website as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
Experience – No experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
Education – Master’s degree in Social Science or related field
Experience – 1 to 3 years of grant related experience
Experience with affiliation agreement and contracts
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to:
Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Preferred Knowledge and Abilities
Experience with:
Survey Monkey,
Qualtrics,
SPSS,
Coding
IRB knowledge
Licensing / Professional Certification – None.

Weekend and evening work may occasionally be required.
Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.
Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Position is contingent upon funding/need.
Salary: $17.54/hourly
