About the Team

The Plant Launch Quality Engineer would work within the Commercial Vehicle division at ZF. The position would be supporting internal plants in North America accomplish a flawless launch, focusing on quality.

What you can look forward to as Plant Launch Quality Engineer

  • Develop and lead regional vison and strategy for projects launching in the region while collaborating between the product lines and internal plants.

  • Lead project and plant launch teams according to company strategy leading to flawless launch.

  • Identify high profile customer or high-risk projects for the region.

  • Continuously improve by identifying repeated project gap and drive closure for future occurrences to drive flawless launches.

  • Track regional launches to determine win/loss of KPIs.

  • Define necessary competencies & capabilities for Project Launch team members.

Your profile as Plant Launch Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or similar is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within quality management or project management.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time within quality management.

  • Strong accomplishments in problem solving and continuous improvement skills.

  • Experience with Launch Readiness.

  • Proficiency in quality management systems and processes including APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP.

  • Success with working on cross functional teams in a project environment.

  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
