Ford Motor Company Icons Segment Chief and NA Ranger in United States

The Segment Chief Engineer for Icons is responsible for quality and cost delivery across Mustang, Bronco, and Ford Performance programs. This position will leverage distributed resources working on geographically distributed workforce across the US, Australia, China, Brazil, and Mexico.

  1. PD Customization delivers factory installed features, accessories, and customer experiences on forward model PD programs (e.g. Mackinaws interior bags, Bronco Modular bumper, etc.).

  2. This position also supports the global img LVEA team with implementation of activity on the ground in NA (e.g. manufacturing, suppliers, launch, etc.)

What you'll do…

  1. Drive delivery of segment quality and warranty improvements

  2. Lead design TVM and cost reduction for vehicles in this segment

  3. Interface with functional and regional skill teams to drive design efficiency improvements

  4. Drive implementation of commonality, complexity reduction cross-carline technologies, and key initiatives across segment

  5. Drive key learnings in efficiency, complexity, and commonality into forward model/future programs

  6. Manage the segment meeting cadence for Quality and Cost

  7. Support the IMG LVEA team with NA Ranger program activity on the ground at PDC, MAP, Manufacturing, Suppliers, etc.

You'll have…

  1. Engineering Degree

  2. Engineering and Design & Release experience

  3. Program delivery and launch experience

  4. Product (systems, attribute, technology) working knowledge

  5. Ability and courage to lead a highly diverse (cultural and skill level) global x-functional team

  6. High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision

  7. Ability and courage to effectively communicate key issues and recommendations to senior leadership

  8. High integrity with good attitude and excellent communication skills

  9. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with distributed resources in multiple regions, with the ability to quickly react to changes and new challenges

  10. A solid understanding of Product Development disciplines

This position is a salary grade 4.
