JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

Assists in executing projects and coordinates activities to assist in the execution of operations and maintenance activities for assigned facility/pipeline systems and/or projects. Enforces all Company standards, procedures, specifications, and safety requirements as they relate to work being performed by ONEOK personnel, contractors and sub-contractors. Observes work performed and monitors activities to ensure performance in accordance with schedule, contract, and budget. Plans, schedules, executes, documents, and assists with operations and maintenance for assigned facility/pipeline system. Maintains documentation and records associated with assigned facility/pipeline system/projects. Provides area emergency response support in applicable incident command structures. Has substantial understanding of the job, company policies and procedures. Applies knowledge and acquired job skills to a complete a wide range of moderate to difficult tasks/duties and requires judgement in resolving issues. A certain degree of self-direction is expected to complete routine and non-routine work. Typically, routine work requires no instruction, but general instructions are provided for new assignments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Coordination Activities

  • Coordinates activities to assist in the execution of operations and maintenance activities for assigned facility/pipeline systems and/or projects.

  • Enforces all Company procedures, standards and safety requirements as they relate to work being performed by contractors and sub-contractors.

  • Observes work performed and monitors activities to ensure performance in accordance with schedule, contract, and budget.

  • Develops, plans, and schedules maintenance activities which include, but are not limited to: requests for contractor jobs, writing detailed job plans and project schedules, completing work orders, and ensuring appropriate work permits are completed.

  • Completes management of change requests (MOCR) as necessary.

  • Coordinates inspections and testing.

  • Completes authorizations for expenditures (AFE), master service agreements (MSA), and/or requests for services (RFS) as needed.

  • Coordinates maintenance projects with technicians daily.

  • Organizes and maintains warehouse supplies, parts, and equipment.

  • May perform maintenance activities such as: bolt work, blinds, tubing, troubleshooting equipment, rebuilding valves, pulling motors, draining down equipment, removing water, and pressure readiness assessments (PRA), and pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSR), if applicable.

  • Compliance

  • Maintains documentation and records associated with assigned facility/pipeline system/projects.

  • Assists with audits, as applicable and necessary.

  • Assists in maintaining inspections, licensing, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

  • Schedules applicable trainings.

  • Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Qualified as a Emergency Response Qualified Individual (QI) for facility, pipeline, or marine emergency events.

  • Collaborates with emergency preparedness and response planning groups, oil response spill organizations (ORSO), and port representatives, where applicable.

  • Provides emergency response support in applicable incident command structure.

  • May serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO) depending on location/site.

  • Projects

  • Assists in executing projects by coordinating work activities, providing oversight to inspection, and contract resources and serve as a foreman to crews or contract maintenance crews.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and design projects.

  • Develops project plans and schedules

  • Communicates project schedules and job plans.

  • Reviews asset and equipment needs and schedules necessary service, testing, and inspections.

  • Assesses the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance (PM) program and work order (WO) system.

  • Develops preventative maintenance and operations procedures.

  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

Education

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's Degree or vocational certificate preferred

Work Experience

  • 1 - 2 years related work experience required

  • Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing in English

  • Ability to: communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, internal and external customers

  • Ability to: work in stressful and changing environmental conditions (conditions as noted above)

  • Ability to: use a personal computer with the Windows® operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive e-mail, and access information posted on the Company’s intranet

  • Ability to: organize and/or analyze information and identify solutions from a range of alternatives

  • Ability to: travel if required <25%

  • Ability to: provide 24 hours per day/7 days per week on-call support, as needed

  • Ability to: respond to emergency events which may include, but is not limited to: taking calls, logging into applications, and/or going to the work location, as required, during day, evening, or nighttime hours.

  • Ability to: demonstrate basic mathematical skills, including converting decimals to fractions

  • Ability to: demonstrate basic understanding and practical use of Geographic Information Systems and electronic mapping

  • Ability to: demonstrate knowledge and understanding of operations and maintenance

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) required

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required
