The Electric Vehicle Program Manager will spearhead implementation and performance of assigned programs and services across BV divisions to support the electric vehicle (EV) market. The EVPM is responsible for launching and building Bureau Veritas Technical Assessments’ (BV) electric vehicle programs, overseeing the operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Duties :

  • Collaborate to strategically develop a plan for the Bureau Veritas electric vehicle program.

  • Spearhead the implementation and performance of assigned programs to achieve installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) infrastructure targets for BV clients in cities nationwide.

  • Lead the development of a proactive and customer-centric culture to foster trust, confidence among customers, electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) developers, technology providers, the sales team, and create and maintain relationships.

  • Manage all aspects of the electric vehicle program including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources needed to achieve EVSE infrastructure goals.

  • Develop subcontractor scopes of work and facilitate detailed estimates for pricing and bidding exercises.

  • Leads preconstruction and estimating team developing detailed scopes of work, budgets, and ROM estimates to support new business acquisition.

  • Manages and reports on overall Design Build program budgets, job costs, and profitability.

  • Manages all aspects of assigned EV client programs including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources needed to achieve EVSE infrastructure installation goals.

  • Responsible for maintaining program profitability targets, monitoring, and managing margins and P&L for assigned book of business.

  • Proactively forecasts resource needs and participates in hiring a team of engineers and project managers to support programs. Program Manager will lead collaboration with this team, other internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Cultivates professional relationships with EV infrastructure OEMs and multisite client site hosts, respond to site host inquiries, and partner with construction planning and business development teams to resolve site host and customer issues.

  • Participates in outreach campaigns and marketing efforts to increase awareness and participation in Bureau Veritas’ Electric Vehicle Program.

  • Leads efforts with the EV business development group to ensure stellar customer service, robust program performance and to secure continued growth.

  • Represents BV at industry conferences, meetings with external stakeholders and all related events pertaining to the development of EVSE projects.

  • Partners closely in the development and leadership of sales programs for EVSE as well as design and implement sales strategy to support the development of successful EVSE projects.

  • Conducts performance reviews and monitor/manage EV project team members.

  • Creates and presents reports defining project/program performance and profitability, resource availability and divisional goals.

  • Develops and issues bi-monthly forecasts for revenue and vendor expenses.

  • Develops and submits monthly billing request to accounting, confirming billable work for processing.

  • Ability to travel, on average, up to 50% of time to client sitesand officesacross the U.S. via plane and drivingas determined based on the project location. Overnight stays away from home may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The EVPM will ensure that the EV team is given clear and defined scope of work outlines, site visits and projects are completed on time, issues are resolved, and technical decisions are made. Directly supervises employees on the billing team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree in Construction, Architecture or Engineering, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Advanced Engineering Degree high desirable

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing Design-Build construction projects, electrical project experience required

  • Proven experience (5 years) in managingdirect reports in a supervisory role

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified

  • Valid driver's license isrequiredwith no significant MVA points/violations.

  • Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work from a remote location.

  • Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.

  • Ability to travel, on average, up to 50% of time to client sites and offices across the U.S. via plane and driving as determined based on the project location. Overnight stays away from home may be required.

  • Must be energized and excited about the EV market space and have a strong desire to grow the business.

  • Should possess experience and/or knowledge of electric vehicle technologies.

  • Demonstrated experienceanalyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information.

  • Stellar communication, presentation, interpersonal, writing skills, and experience presenting to small and large audiences.

  • Experience with governmental agencies at all levels as well as regulatory filings.

  • Demonstrated experienceanalyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information.

  • Knowledge of construction components, process and methodologies required.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with BV employees and customers.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis in MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
