We're seeking a motivated, self-starter for our Communications Specialist II, responsible for project & campaign management, content production, and written communication for units within Mays Business School. Communication and time/project management skills are a necessity while you w ork on requests to assess needs, plan, communicate with relevant staff, and assign resources, as you meet deadlines and evaluate project success post-launch. Those with a passion for marketing will thrive in this fast-paced environment as you fa cilitate marketing and communication requests and create, launch, and manage email & social media campaigns in various email marketing platforms, web platforms, etc., and launch & monitor campaign performance in Google Analytics, and other content management systems.

    Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.

  • Two years of experience in communications, digital marketing or marketing field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to work in email marketing, print materials, writing, social media management, web content management, publications, and campaign management.

  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to bring fresh ideas, individual voice, and enthusiasm to the team with strong initiative, commitment to lifelong learning, and willingness to ask questions.

  • Ability to balance multiple, simultaneous priorities while meeting deadlines with e xceptional time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in marketing, communications or related field .

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience across a broad array of marketing channels.

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a communications coordinator, communications specialist, project manager or similar role on a marketing team.

  • Ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects that make efficient use of resources, meet deadlines, achieve objectives and maintain morale among staff through the process.
