Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all of the site’s administrative duties, purchasing, and accounting, as well as additional project and initiative support as needed. This role also supports as the back-up of additional site responsibilities, including but not limited to, lab analysis for incoming/outgoing material and logistics coordination for outgoing shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Believes in working safely and complies with Albemarle safety and work procedures.

  • Strong SAP S4, Microsoft Office, Elemica and computer skills with the ability to expand knowledge.

  • Strong skills related to Bookkeeping.

  • Fast learner with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work with personnel at all levels including team members, local management, Corporate Departments, and internal and external Vendors and Customers.

  • Proven strengths in planning and coordinating work with multiple work groups.

  • Willing to work in a collaborative and flexible work environment.

  • Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Answering phones.

  • Sorting daily mail.

  • Maintaining all purchasing records from time of acquisition to payment of Invoice.

  • Maintaining the office calendar and schedule.

  • Keeping all records current, along with regulatory posters and certificates.

Education and Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or similar role.

  • Physical requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent walking, bending, stooping, balancing, ascending, and descending ladders, operating various mobile equipment, pulling, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Requires handling tools and equipment necessary to perform above listed tasks.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and able to learn other programs (SAP).
