Job Summary

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Cloud Consultant focused on Red Hat Cloud Products to join us in Italy and willing to travel to or based in the Tourin area. In this role, you will specialize in the design and development of cloud-ready Infrastructure architectures, including automated container platforms, managed openshift cloud infrastructure, git driven architecture and automations. You'll lead the on-site implementation of Red Hat's technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage, Red Hat Openstack and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. You'll play a key role in the enterprise customers, helping make our solutions both practical and workable for their businesses. You'll work to gain an understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve their issues, and help them make strategic decisions. As a Senior Cloud Consultant, you will help customers build enterprise infrastructure for mission critical applications around cloud technologies to support cloud native development team and allow for continuous feature release of applications.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, development, or strategic IT requirements

• Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies, procedures, and values

• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting best methods to obtain solutions

• Implement and integrate Red Hat's open and hybrid cloud solutions including Red Hat OpenShift and other Red Hat's offerings

• Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals

• Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including ticket or bug management

• Mentor and share your knowledge with customers - Define and promote the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-market

• Implement solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods

What you will bring

• 5+ years of experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of different cloud and on premise infrastructure

• 2+ years of experience with and advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or underlying components like Kubernetes and Docker

• Deep knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - Experience implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security

• Experience working with command line tools and scripting languages

• Good knowledge of Git, Gitops and IaC in general, able to talk and guide developer team in design and implement good infrastructure using code (terraform, Ansible, Argo CD etc.)

• Ability to communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders in both technical and business audiences

• Ability to study on your own, learn quickly, and put new ideas into practice

• Good communication skills in English and Italian

• Ready to travel to or based in the Tourin area

• Working experience with DevOps and agile processes

• Experience using public cloud technologies and providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
