Akamai's InfoSec Team is responsible for safeguarding the security of Akamai's infrastructure. We provide internal advocacy for security practices and work closely with product and platform teams. The team ensures that Akamai systems meet both the safety and security compliance needs.

Partner with the best

Compliance Advisors are key contributors to Akamai's successful security audits. You will be responsible for leading analysis activities and interpreting compliance standards. You will be describing to auditors and customers how Akamai's products and systems meet strict security requirements.

As an InfoSec & Compliance Advisor Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Owning and driving security compliance initiatives to completion in an effective and efficient manner

• Maintaining current knowledge of applicable security standards and monitoring advancements in information security technologies

• Identifying systemic gaps in information security and understanding the effectiveness of security controls

• Providing management with proper context of potential exposure to control weaknesses

• Designing and driving strategic initiatives related to control and process improvements

• Serving as the subject matter expert for audit engagements

• Developing an ongoing trusted advisor relationship with stakeholders to ensure continued excellence in safety and security

• Establishing and driving goals and consensus across cross-functional teams

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have extensive experience in experience in IT security, IT risk management or IT audit

• Be familiar with industry compliance and security standards (PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST/DoD frameworks, FedRAMP, ENS or TISAX)

• Have working knowledge of compliance software, GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance) tools, and audit management systems

• Have experience advising customers on architectures to securely meet business needs, industry standards and local policies

• Have the ability to interact and communicate with senior executives across multiple business areas

• Be able to align compliance strategies with business objectives and risk appetite
