SunPower Lead, Legacy FP&A in Philippines

SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is seeking a TL for Legacy FPA to be responsible for providing full accounting support for all Legacy activities which includes Overall Legacy Bus: O&M, UPP, CVAR, Legacy’s PCA, TSA/TSLTA and other related processes. The Lead for FPA will report to the Legacy’s Department Manager in GBFS and will also be accountable for review and preparation of account recons, comprehensive warranty analysis, supporting audit requests, process improvement, and other relevant/ad hoc activities. This role will also be collaborating with the Legacy FPAs and its stakeholders, interfacing with operations, corporate, internal compliance and controls and other teams as needed to fulfil his/her responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead coordination and performance of period-end close procedures with Legacy Accounting and Legacy FPA.

  • Perform strong analysis and provide meaning insights and explanations to department charges against goals, plans and budgets

  • Provide concise and detailed financial analysis and various reports to management to communicate performance and results

  • Work closely with teams within the organization, mostly with the US FP&A, Budget Owners and various Accounting team to control and ensure completeness, accuracy and proper treatment of actuals and accruals booking

  • Supervise, Review and monitor the existing PCA/TSA activities between SPWR and Maxeon.

  • Assist and lead the cycle review and legal entity review requirements & timely completion of account reconciliations, journal entries, calculation, etc.

  • Provide support for various account flux analyses needed for periodic cycle reviews, PBC, SOX and other pertinent monthly, quarterly and annual audit requirements.

  • Provide analytical support for business decisions and participate / lead special projects and process improvements initiatives for the group.

  • Drive team performance via use of tools such as coaching & feedback, results documentation and counseling & mentoring.

  • Performs other duties may be assigned

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

  • Preferably CPA, CMA or holds any accounting certifications

  • Experience in various accounting areas like General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Asset Management & Financial Data Analysis

  • Preferably at least 5 years solid working experience in full accounting cycle

  • Analytical and keen to details

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Can work well at different levels of the organization

  • Strong Excel skills, especially graphing, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and converting Non-Excel data to Excel

  • Night Shift adaptability (as necessary)

  • This is an FTE position.

  • Applicants must be willing to work in Binan Laguna.

  • Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in the Philippines.

  • Applicants must be willing to render overtime as business requires (weekends, US/PH holidays).

  • Applicants must be flexible to work on a night shift schedule supporting North America region.

  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work off hours during certain audits (due to time zone differences).

  • Tool of Trade: Laptop/Desktop, Extended Monitor, Headset (as needed).
