Oracle Principal Software Developer in Netherlands

Job Description

Oracle has recently released a new cloud native service: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Secure Desktops. This exciting development allows customers to deploy Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) easily and quickly, right out of their OCI tenancies.

You will be expected to make a big contribution to the specification, design and implementation of components that provide remote access to devices, including audio, video and general USB devices. The work is leading edge; you will keep current with the latest developments in technologies, pushing against boundaries to deliver increasing functionality.

There is a strong emphasis on software robustness, quality and performance. Collaboration is an essential skill and you will actively participate in design discussions and code reviews with colleagues spread internationally.

You will have the confidence to work independently and also be comfortable working in a team. There are many opportunities to expand your skills to other parts of the product stack.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with C/C+- Work with systems-level services and devices

  • Cross-platform development: Windows, macOS, Linux

  • TCP-level networking

  • Remote access protocols like RDP, VPX and X11

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, in English

Desirable Skills:

  • Java and Python

  • Objective C

  • Experience creating and using web-based services with RESTful APIs

  • Knowledge of HTTP and web socket networking protocols
