Oracle Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer in Hungary

Job Description

As part of this team, your responsibilities include:

  • Automation using Terraform.

  • Design, build, and maintain production infrastructure.

  • Come up with best practices and mentor junior engineers.

  • Plan and deploy production system migration/upgrade.

  • Involve and influence project directions in compliance with Oracle technology standards.

  • System debugging and performance tuning.

  • Work with the development team closely to improve Oracle product quality.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 6+ years as a DevOps engineer, SRE, system administrator systems engineer, etc.

  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python, etc)

  • Strong experience with the use, deployment, and development of cloud computing platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) / AWS / Azure is a must.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability using tools like Grafana.

  • Strong understanding of Containers using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Ability to convert conceptual architectures into functional infrastructures end to end.

  • Ideally some product development experience.

  • Experience with streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, and Streams is a plus.

  • Self-motivated and self-managing

  • Excellent communication/follow-up/time management skills

  • Ability to fulfill role/duties independently.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure startup environment.

  • Ability to work with global team in different time zones.

  • Ability to function both as an individual contributor as well as a team player.

  • Strong communication skills and fluent English
