Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Splicer to support one of the fastest growing security companies in Virginia. This position's hours are Sun-Thurs from 7PM-5AM, and is responsible for the installation, splicing, support, and troubleshooting of fiber equipment. This candidate will utilize OTDRs, Power Meter/Light Sources, document testing per customer specs., and read/interpret blueprints and schematics.

Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate:

• is a certified fusion splicer for both multi-mode and single-mode fiber

• has 2+ years of experience

• can pass a drug/background check

• has a valid driver's license

• must comfortable working inside/outside and on ladders

• must be able to see color

• install, repair, and test fiber in a variety of environments

• ability to demonstrate understanding of fiber counts and colors
