Job Description

Receiving Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all merchandise is unloaded and received using correct procedures and delivered to the appropriate location within the store. In addition they are responsible for training Receiving Associates to follow Home Depot s receiving procedures and policies. In order to be effective, Receiving Supervisors must have a thorough knowledge of Home Depot s receiving procedures and safety guidelines. Receiving Supervisors are required to be licensed to use powered lift equipment (i.e., electric pallet jack, slip sheet machine, reach truck, order puller, forklift) which may be used when unloading trucks and moving freight from receiving to designated staging areas. They must also have excellent leadership and communication skills and be capable of working with others to get the job done.
